Title: BE WATER
Concept:The screen is composed of eight panels. The activities of people, the style of architecture, and the appearance of the city are always the focal points of discussion. The river has always observed the changes of the world as a bystander, while its presence runs through all eight panels. Water can flexibly adapt to its environment, being both soft and penetrating, which reminds me of Bruce Lee’s famous quote, “BE WATER, MY FRIEND.” Water plays an essential role in the printmaking process. Additionally, the phenomenon of repulsion between the gelatin plate and clean water in the de-gel printmaking process is one of its unique charms and serves as my response to the water patterns in the screen.

Konzept: Der Bildschirm besteht aus acht Feldern. Die Aktivitäten der Menschen, der Stil der Architektur und das Erscheinungsbild der Stadt stehen immer im Mittelpunkt der Diskussion. Der Fluss hat die Veränderungen der Welt stets als unbeteiligter Beobachter verfolgt, während seine Präsenz sich durch alle acht Felder zieht. Wasser kann sich flexibel an seine Umgebung anpassen, es ist sowohl weich als auch durchdringend, was mich an Bruce Lees berühmtes Zitat erinnert: „BE WATER, MY FRIEND.“ Wasser spielt eine wesentliche Rolle im Druckprozess. Darüber hinaus ist das Phänomen der Abstoßung zwischen der Gelatineplatte und sauberem Wasser im De-Gel-Druckverfahren einer seiner einzigartigen Reize und dient als meine Antwort auf die Wassermuster im Bildschirm.

「この屏風は8枚の絵から構成されています。人々の活動、建物のスタイル、街の景観は常に議論の焦点となっています。川は常に観察者の姿勢で世の中の移り変わりを見守っています。川の存在は8枚の絵の中に一貫して流れています。水は環境に柔軟に適応し、柔らかさと同時に貫通力を持っています。これを見て、私は李小龍の名言「BE WATER, MY FRIEND.」を思い出します。版画制作には水が欠かせません。また、脱脂版画では、版と水が出会ったときに互いに反発する現象も、この技法の特徴的な魅力のひとつであり、これは屏風の水模様への私の応答でもあります。
