Derya Ünlü / デリヤ・ユンリュ

Derya Ünlü, (*1996) living in Vienna, is an artist who likes to translate drawing processes into textile art by using different textile techniques. She has been studying Art Education at the University of Applied Arts since 2021. For the World Expo in Osaka, she explored the patterns on women’s kimonos in Japan and examined their cultural significance in order to capture and depict the narratives and messages behind these designs.
